“I’ve just got to do this first.” I don’t know how often I hear my kids say that, and I never let them get away with it. So why do I allow myself to say it? My goals for the next couple of weeks are good examples of this. For example, I need to set up commission listings on my etsy shop, and I find myself saying “But first I’ve got to do a bunch of samples, and make advertisement graphics, and…” Basically make things more complicated than they need to be.
I was talking to my accountability partner the other day about being frustrated with work, and shows. She dropped some very sound advice on me.
I don’t know if this is true, but i feel like you spend a good amount of time on huge projects that you hope to do something at some point. like books and things. which is really awesome, but maybe you want to focus on more money makers. like commissions, the roller derby portraits, stuff like that?
So this week’s goal is to open commissions for Custom Cartoon portraits, and Roller Derby name Icons.
